Jeremy P. Greenhouse is a Minnesota environmental law attorney and a partner at the Minneapolis-based law firm The Environmental Law Group, Ltd.. Jeremy is also the founder, editor, and primary author of Fire on the River!
From 2003 through 2005, Jeremy was an attorney in the environmental, energy and natural resources practice group at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, representing corporate clients in a variety of enforcement, regulatory compliance, permitting and rulemaking matters involving various federal and state environmental laws.
In 2006, Jeremy became a founding partner of the Minneapolis law firm Greenhouse & Gram LLC, where he represented citizens groups, individuals, and small-to mid-sized businesses in a wide range of environmental, corporate law, and land-use matters, handling complex litigation in federal and state courts and arguing before the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
During his tenure with Greenhouse & Gram, Jeremy worked extensively with The Environmental Law Group, Ltd., particularly on matters involving the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and renewable energy. Jeremy joined the Environmental Law Group, Ltd. in 2012. A frequent author on environmental law matters, Jeremy writes the monthly environmental law updates for Bench & Bar magazine and is past editor of the Federal Bar Association’s Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources newsletter.
Jeremy received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law, where he was associate editor of the William Mitchell Law Review. Jeremy also holds a Bachelor of Music degree with honors from McGill University and a Master of Arts degree in musicology from the University of Victoria.
